Appellation: Rattlesnake Hills
The 2010 Vintage: The growing season was favorable but a cool Spring delayed ripening while a warm Fall allowed us to pick a little early with fine results.
The Wine: Classic Bordeaux-like black currant scents with abundant rich fruit flavors and exceptionally tasty Cabernet flavors. Long fruit finish and lovely, lingering balance.
Food Matches: Steak, especially well-charred rib-eyes and braised roasts of beef. Fine with hard, highly-flavored cheeses and all rich dishes.
Descriptors: Strong black fruit flavors complement beef & richly-sauced meats as well as strong, aged cheeses. Perfect complement to dishes with complex, rich sauces.
