Appellation: Rattlesnake Hills AVA, WA
Vintage Notes: The 2012 growing season was a very good one. Warm temperatures during the height of growing season, a long fall with cool nights, and no danger of frost during harvest allowed growers to let the grapes hang until near perfect balance was achieved.
Tasting Notes: Aromas of fresh berries and black cherry. The flavors include ripe blackberries, anise spice or licorice a hint of black olive with a finish of black pepper.
Food Matches: The classic Syrah pairing of grilled lamb with mint jelly can be modernized. If you enjoy Greek Gyros, these go very well with our style of Syrah. Also, try rich grilled meats with black pepper!
