2011 Malbec

2011 Malbec

Appellation: Rattlesnake Hills

The 2011 Vintage: The growing season was favorable but a cool Spring delayed ripening and a warm Fall allowed us to pick these four varietals during October, which is normal for our region.

The Wine: Dark red color with scents of black plum and cherries & nutmeg / rich, lush black fruit flavors with full palate and the center filling in nicely with some breathing / great balance of acid, tannins and fruit with a lingering, promising finish / This is our very approachable blend of red wines, and is designed to offer easy enjoyment and smooth drinking for those who want wines that simply provide pleasure. Attractive nose, full mellow flavors of ripe black fruits and a rich, soft finish.

Food Matches: This red blend complements and enhances any food traditionally calling for a red wine. Excellent with pastas with tomato-based sauces.
